Since 2013, Arnaud d’Arfeuille has served as director and in charge of estate management at Château La Serre, a role that places vineyard decisions, site management, and continuity under one discipline. The Work Today

Today, the estate is worked as a single 7-hectare block, 200 meters from the historic heart of Saint-Emilion. That geography gives Château La Serre a close relationship to its surroundings, with the vineyard situated as much within the town’s lived history as within its own rows. The working method has also been brought back toward a more traditional and natural approach, as Arnaud d’Arfeuille puts it. That shift signals a preference for restraint and observation over intervention, with estate management shaped by the pace of the vineyard rather than by force. Family continuity remains part of the structure of the place. Château La Serre has been in the family since 1956, and d’Arfeuille’s role carries that history forward through everyday management rather than ceremony.
