The Climb
Training at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) sits behind a career that started in service and station work at Tryp Bosque Hotel in Palma de Mallorca, where Inés Páez Nin worked as a cook and intern and also worked with chef Martín Berasategui at Tryp Bosque Hotel in Palma de Mallorca. From that base, her public kitchen work moved through international festival service and event dining: participant / representative at Sabores Barranquilla and Guadalupe Gastronomic Festival at International gastronomic festivals (2013), in charge of the gala dinner of the Economic Commission for Latin America in National Palace (2013), participant / representative at the Latin American Gastronomy Festival at International gastronomic festival in New Delhi (2014), participant / representative at the Dominican Gastronomic Festival at International gastronomic festival in La Florida (2015), and participant / representative at the Dominican Gastronomic Festival at International gastronomic festival in La Florida (2017). That path now places Inés in the judge’s seat on MasterChef.
Today
Ownership, kitchen leadership, and television judging now sit together in the same practice: Inés Páez Nin owns Aguají and MoriSoñando, serves as chef de cuisine at Morisoñando, and appears as a judge on MasterChef. Her own terms stay close to product and place, including her line on local oysters: "I love our local oysters — they might not have as much meat on them, but the flavour is incredible."
