Editorial photography taught Juliette d’Assay how to work with composition, timing, and a disciplined eye. Since 2012, the manager / head of Château de Tracy role at Château de Tracy has asked for continuity more than display. In Juliette d’Assay’s hands, the title points to maintenance, judgement, and the care required to keep an established property aligned with its own history. The work is not cast as a departure from what came before, but as part of a line already in motion.

In Tracy-sur-Loire, France, the estate carries its history as part of daily practice rather than as decoration. Juliette d’Assay’s work sits inside a historical vineyard under the influence of the same family since the 15th century, so the task is to manage what has been accumulated over time without flattening it. The emphasis is on continuity: reading the land, holding to the character of the place, and keeping the estate legible to the next generation.

Juliette's signature dishes include Haute Densité and 101 Rangs. The names signal structure and repetition, which fits an estate governed by order, inheritance, and close attention to the vineyard. Read together, they point to a practice shaped by discipline rather than flourish.
