Training at BI Norwegian Business School gave Aina Mee Myhre a commercial base that later read directly into her work with wine: clear judgment, market sense, and a disciplined eye for style. Those skills now sit behind Heyday Wines, where Aina pairs business control with a taste profile that stays exacting rather than decorative.

Today

Managing Director of Strøm AS, Aina Mee Myhre also runs the Oslo company she founded, and her own words make the operating philosophy plain: “I am relatively happy to choose my own wine and I am not so concerned that the wine should match every bite of food perfectly.” The preference is consistent with the rest of the list. Dry sparkling wine comes first, whether Champagne or Brut Nature Cava, while red leans toward Garnacha from Spain or Nebbiolo from Piemonte. The thread through all of it is freshness, lift, and definition.

Signature

Aina's signature dishes include Fredag, La Parra Albariño 2015, Principiano Langhe Rosso 2016, and Lanson Vintage 1996. Read together, they point to a table that favors tension over weight: Albariño for clarity and saline edge, Langhe Rosso for supple depth, and vintage Champagne for poise.

Master of Wine in 2017 marks Aina Mee Myhre’s position in a field built on precision and breadth. The Sommelier title sits alongside that credential, and in 2022 she served on the expert jury for Asia Wine Trophy, extending her assessment work into formal judging.
