Jan Tournier is the chef behind Cuchara in Lommel, Belgium, where he opened the restaurant in 2009 in his grandparents’ house. Cuchara earned its first Michelin star five years later and a second star in 2019, and the restaurant describes his approach as creative fine dining rooted in the Lepelstraat location. Public profiles also note that he trained at Antwerp Hilton and learned under Roger Van Damme at Het Gebaar before opening his own restaurant.
