Benromach Distillery in Forres, Moray, Scotland, has kept Keith Cruickshank close to the work that defines Scotch production: hands-on process, steady judgement and the discipline of a small team. He joined as a distiller in 1998–2000, then moved into Distillery Manager at Benromach Distillery from 2000, a progression that tracks with a working knowledge of stills, warehouse demands and the accumulated sense required to keep a distillery moving. In 2025, he was appointed to lead the historic coleburn site's revival at Coleburn Distillery, extending that experience into another piece of Scotch whisky heritage.
Where They Are Now
The Distillery Manager role at the Forres site has run from 2000 to the present, and that length of tenure points to a style of leadership built on continuity rather than display.
