Ken Sakamoto is the owner-chef of cenci in Kyoto, an Italian restaurant that opened in December 2014 and has been recognized with a Michelin star. He trained in Kyoto at Trattoria Il Pappalardo and later served as head chef at Il Ghiottone for nine years before founding cenci. A 2025 Halekulani Okinawa announcement also identified him as the consulting chef for SHIROUX, effective November 1, 2025.
