i. Biography
Michael Silacci is the winemaker at Opus One in Oakville. He joined as Director of Viticulture and Enology in 2001 and became the estate's sole winemaker in 2003, integrating vineyard and cellar decisions across Opus One's Oakville parcels. The winery has announced that he will retire after completing the 2026 harvest and will remain involved during the subsequent transition.
