Michel Davesne

Michel Davesne is the longtime former chef de cave (cellar master) of Champagne Deutz in Aÿ-Champagne, where he joined in 2003 after previously serving as chef de cave at Palmer starting in 1985. Wine trade coverage says he led Deutz for about two decades and helped define the house style through finesse, elegance, precision, and purity; by 2022 he had been succeeded by Caroline Latrive and was expected to serve on Deutz’s tasting committee for a time.
