From 2015–2019, he served as Head Chef at Blackbird in Chicago, taking on broader control of the kitchen’s movement and service rhythm. Since 2019, Ryan Pfeiffer has served as executive chef at Blackbird in Chicago. The throughline is continuity rather than reinvention: one room, one kitchen, and a long stretch of work that deepened with time.
