    Parcel Work in Oeuilly

    • Falstaff Winery - 2 Stars · 2026

Champagne Tarlant’s cellar method starts with separation. La Fête du Champagne describes more than 40 parcels across four villages, pressed and vinified individually. This gives Benoît Tarlant distinct base wines before any blend is assembled.

    Barrel work with limits

About half the estate’s production is barrel fermented, according to La Fête’s producer profile. The profile says Tarlant avoids malolactic fermentation and adapts yeast choice to the wine and vintage, rather than applying one yeast rule to every parcel. That specificity matters more than a general claim that all of the wines see the same cellar treatment.
