The producer
Why it matters.
Masumoto helped make named California orchard fruit part of fine-dining provenance; the farm's own timeline records a 1993 peach sale to Chez Panisse.
The origin.
The Masumoto family has farmed south of Fresno since 1948. David Mas Masumoto, Marcy, Nikiko, and Korio steward an 80-acre organic orchard known for tree-ripened stone fruit and sun-cured Thompson Seedless grapes.
