    i. Biography

    Alex Nietosvuori is a Swedish chef and co-owner of Restaurant Hjem, opened in 2019 at the Hadrian Hotel in Wall, Northumberland, where he earned a Michelin star blending Northumbrian produce with Scandinavian techniques. His career includes roles at 3 Michelin-starred Maaemo in Oslo, 2 Michelin-starred Daniel Berlin Krog in Skåne, and head chef at Copenhagen's BROR, with stages at Faviken, Frantzen, and Operakällaren. As of 2026, Hjem operates in a residency at South Causey Inn in County Durham while he develops Freyja at Close House.
