Amanda Beckwith is Director of Liquid Development and Lead Blender at Virginia Distillery Company in Lovingston, Virginia, one of the leading American single malt producers. She developed and leads the company's sensory and maturation programme and its ASM Academy education course, and trained under nosing expert Nancy Fraley, Scottish consultant Harry Cockburn and the late Dr Jim Swan. Her blending work for the Courage & Conviction range spans Spanish oak, sherry, Port, STR, Cabernet, Armagnac, Cognac and Islay casks.
