That path led back to the estate cellar, where Andreas has been responsible for the cellar of Sattlerhof since 2014. In a family winery, the cellar is where judgment shows up in the finished wine: in texture, balance, and length. Since taking on that role, Andreas has helped shape wines that stay close to the vineyard while carrying a clean, deliberate line.

Today

At Sattlerhof, Andreas works within a shared rhythm between vineyard and cellar. The two sides remain distinct, but the same decisions run through both, with the cellar giving form to what the fruit can offer. Andreas’s part in that exchange is to bring definition to the wines as they move from harvest to bottle, building an estate identity that develops by accumulation rather than gesture.

Signature

Andreas’s signature wines include Justė and Kappellenweingarten Sauvignon Blanc. Read together, they show the scope of his focus within Sauvignon Blanc and the estate’s long connection to its land. The wines are presented as part of Sattlerhof’s ongoing house style, with each bottle carrying the same disciplined attention to place.

In Their Words “As my wife Juste was pregnant, we found during various shared dinners that there are many non-alcoholic alternatives, but little that is suitable as a simple white-wine alternative.” The comment comes from an everyday problem, but it points to a practical blind spot in the category. For a winemaker, that kind of direct observation is part of the work: seeing where current options do not yet meet a simple need. “He manages the cellar, I manage the vineyard, and together we’ve shaped the style of the new generation at Sattlerhof since 2016.” The sentence sets out a clear division of labor. Vineyard and cellar remain separate disciplines, but at Sattlerhof they are used together to shape the estate’s newer style since 2016.
