The Work Today

At Schweiger Vineyards, the work has stayed tied to farming as much as cellar practice, and Andy Schweiger has held the winemaker role there since 1994. Earlier training at Davis led into production work at ZD, where bottling line and cellar duties gave him a ground-level view of the process before later winemaking posts at Joseph Phelps, Trefethen, Chateau St. Jean, and Cain Cellars.
