Ángel Anocíbar is the winemaker and director of Viñedo y Bodega at Abadía Retuerta in Sardón de Duero, Spain. Abadía Retuerta’s official team page says he began working there in 1996 under Pascal Delbeck after earlier study in Madrid and Bordeaux, and the winery describes him as the current enologist/director guiding its wines. The winery also notes that he was named Enólogo del Año by the International Wine Challenge in 2005 and is a member of the Académie Internationale du Vin de France.
