Anna Sacher was the hotelier who led Hotel Sacher Wien after the death of her husband Eduard in 1892. Over almost four decades she made the hotel one of Vienna's defining social institutions, becoming known for exacting but fair management, her cigars and her French bulldogs. She remained inseparable from the hotel until her death there in 1930.
