Charles Chevallier

Charles Chevallier is the longtime Bordeaux winemaker and former technical director associated with Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), where he worked first at Château Rieussec and later at Château Lafite Rothschild. Wine Spectator reports that he began at Rieussec in 1982 and later assumed technical management across the company’s Bordeaux properties, while other trade coverage describes him as the director of the Lafite group and the person in charge of Lafite, Rieussec, L’Évangile, and Duhart-Milon. He stepped back from day-to-day management in late 2015 and became a senior advisor/brand ambassador, with Eric Kohler taking over technical management.
