Cory Empting

Cory Empting is the Director of Winemaking at Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory, all under the Harlan family in Napa Valley. He joined Harlan Estate as a harvest intern in 2001 at age 20 and advanced through roles to succeed Bob Levy as director, overseeing winemaking across these estates. Empting emphasizes teamwork, environmental assessment beyond vineyards, and dry-farming practices adapted for climate resilience, notably refining styles after the 2020 vintage challenges.
