Craig Bancroft is Managing Director and Director of Wine at Northcote in Langho, Lancashire, where he has run the country-house hotel since 1983 and helped build it into a gastronomic landmark in Britain’s Ribble Valley. Northcote describes him as the driving force behind its award-winning wine list, and industry coverage says he curates pairings for executive head chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen’s menu with a team of sommeliers. He has received the Hotel Cateys Outstanding Achievement Award in 2023, The Caterer’s Hotelier of the Year in 2016, and the Imbibe Wine and Spirit Ambassador Award in 2017.
