The Path

Before co-founding Grub Street in New York in 2006, Daniel Maurer worked as the online producer and editor of nightlife listings at New York magazine. In his own retrospective, he pointed to the rise of neighborhood blogs from a niche format to a serious source of local information, framing hyperlocal, collaborative journalism as a form with growing scope and value.
