Emmanuel Lassaigne

Emmanuel Lassaigne is a French winemaker who took over the family estate Champagne Jacques Lassaigne in Montgueux, Aube, Champagne in 1999 from his father Jacques, after leaving a career in industrial packaging. He converted the 3.5-4 hectare vineyard, primarily old vine Chardonnay on Kimmeridgian marl, to organic and biodynamic practices, producing terroir-driven Blanc de Blancs champagnes vinified partly in barrels without added sulfur or dosage. His wines are highly regarded by top sommeliers and Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide for their purity and gastronomic quality.
