Ernst Loosen

Ernst “Erni” Loosen is the current owner of Weingut Dr. Loosen in Germany’s Mosel wine region, which has been in his family for more than 200 years and is currently led by him since 1988. He assumed ownership of the estate in 1988 and built its international reputation by focusing on Mosel Riesling from old ungrafted vines and top slate vineyards such as Wehlener Sonnenuhr and Ürziger Würzgarten.
