Frank Kämmer

Wine consulting depends on selection, context, and the ability to translate region into use. Kämmer’s current consulting work has a particular focus on Bourgogne, a category that rewards close attention to origin, producer, vintage, and style rather than broad generalization. In 2001, Kämmer was honored as "Sommelier 2001" by the Bertelsmann Restaurant Guide. Riesling and spirits recognition sit alongside his sommelier awards. Kämmer was the winner of the Trophée Ruinart Germany, earning the title of "Germany's best Sommelier," and secured second place in the Trophée Ruinart Europe, a competition to determine "Europe's best Sommelier." French-wine specialization is also part of the record. Kämmer was the winner of the Grand Prix Sopexa, earning the title of "Germany's best Sommelier for French Wines," a recognition aligned with his stated focus on Bourgogne.
