i. Biography
Jassil Villanueva Quintana is a Maestra Ronera at the Dominican rum house Brugal and the first woman to hold that title in the company's history. She is a fifth-generation member of the founding Brugal family. In Brugal's own newsroom she says: 'Desde 1888, Brugal y las diferentes generaciones de Maestros Roneros han perseguido el mismo sueño: crear el mejor ron posible. Como mujer dominicana, me enorgullece seguir sus pasos para guiar este excepcional ron hacia el futuro.'
