Jeff Koehler’s training at Gonzaga University sits behind a body of work built on observation, field notes, and close reading of place. Where They Are Now

Menorca has become part of the working backdrop in Jeff Koehler’s practice, first visited long ago and then returned to often enough to feel familiar. A little farmhouse outside of Es Mercadal, rented through friends, marks the kind of base that supports slow looking and repeated returns — the conditions travel writing often needs if it is going to register more than a single visit.
