i. Biography
Joe Caterini is CEO and co-founder of Fortune Favors Films, with a career built across sound, producing, and production leadership. His work sits in the part of the business where creative judgment has to travel alongside operational control, and where a project only moves if both are kept in step. Studying Studio Art at Dartmouth College and attending Walt Whitman High School gave that path an early grounding in composition and structure before he entered the field.
The Climb
Training at Dartmouth College and Walt Whitman High School preceded Joe Caterini’s first industry credit in the Sound Department at The Woodsman (2004). Sound work places an artisan close to timing, atmosphere, and precision, and that early position put him inside the mechanics of how a scene takes shape. Producing expanded that base into a broader role in shaping work. As producer at The Mind of a Chef (2012–2015), Joe Caterini moved deeper into documentary storytelling and food-centric programming, with the responsibilities of a producer tied to both editorial judgment and practical delivery. Executive and ownership roles followed, each one adding another layer of oversight to the same discipline. Joe Caterini served as Managing Director & partner / Executive Producer at Zero Point Zero Production Inc, Executive Vice President of sales at PostWorks New York LLC, and owner/president at Caterini Studios, Inc. The titles differ, but the work points in the same direction: keeping projects aligned from concept to delivery while holding the business side as carefully as the creative one. Today, Joe Caterini is CEO & Co-Founder of Fortune Favors Films, where leadership remains tied to production realities as much as company identity.

As CEO and co-founder of Fortune Favors Films, Joe Caterini works at the point where a production company’s standards are set and maintained. The role depends on the choices made project by project, and on the consistency that turns a slate of work into a recognizable practice.
