Julia Momosé is a Japanese-born chef, bartender, author, and the creative force behind Kumiko, the Japanese dining bar in Chicago’s West Loop. Sources state that she opened Kumiko in 2018 and that, by late 2024, she stepped into the executive chef role to guide its food program. She has also been identified in Michelin coverage as a Kumiko co-owner and as the 2022 Chicago Exceptional Cocktails Award winner.
