i. Biography
Kelsey McKechnie joined William Grant & Sons in 2014 as a technical graduate at Girvan and was appointed apprentice malt master at The Balvenie in 2018 at the age of 26. She completed a six-year apprenticeship under David Stewart MBE and took the Malt Master role in 2022, becoming only the third Malt Master in The Balvenie's history.
