i. Biography
Coming Up
Single-vineyard Pinot Noir became the defining line of Ken Wright Cellars in Carlton, United States, under Ken Wright’s direction since 1994. The house is built on precision, patience, and place; those are the working terms that have framed the label from the start and given his wines a recognizable register. Ken Wright trained at UC-Davis before entering the Northwest wine trade as winemaker at Panther Creek Cellars in McMinnville, Oregon (1986–1994). That period formed the practical base of the work that followed. When he became founder and winemaker and proprietors & winemaker of Ken Wright Cellars in 1994, the label took on the shape of a long-term project rather than a passing assignment: vineyard by vineyard, style by style, the same focus held.
Where They Are Now
Ken Wright founded Ken Wright Cellars in Carlton, United States in 1994, establishing a permanent site for the work. Since then, he has served there as founder and winemaker and as Proprietors & Winemaker from 1994 to present. The center of the program remains Single-vineyard Pinot Noir, with the emphasis placed on the differences that separate one site from another. That consistency has defined the winery’s identity and the way Wright is read inside it: hands-on, steady, and tied to the wines themselves.
Signature
Angela is one of Ken Wright’s signature wines. In a portfolio centered on Single-vineyard Pinot Noir, it sits within the language of the cellar as another specific expression of the care and consistency that have shaped the label since its founding.
