The Path

Visual storytelling gave the first structure to the work. At ABC News and Plum TV, De Guia learned to move information quickly without losing the details that make a scene legible. That discipline carried into her role as an On-Air Food Reporter at NY1 in New York City (from 2011), where food became a reporting lens for culture and community. Later, as an Executive Producer at HLN (from 2016), she added another layer of editorial control to an already defined narrative practice. Since 2009, Food. Curated. has remained the core of that practice, held together by the same mix of precision, warmth, and inquiry.

The Work Today

Since 2009, Food. Curated. has been run by De Guia as Executive Producer, Founder, Chief Storyteller, and On-Air Host. The work is clear in its editorial discipline: food is treated not as a subject isolated from context, but as a way into larger human patterns.
