Marc Nanes does that work from the center of the property’s winegrowing expression, where restraint matters as much as decision-making. The practice is built on patience, on knowing when to wait and when to move, and on treating timing as a tool rather than an afterthought.

The Work Today

As the current winemaker, Marc Nanes is responsible for the property’s wines from vineyard through cellar. The work depends on continuity: each bottling has to carry the estate’s character, and each choice has to reflect the same discipline around balance and patience. Cool weather lengthens the season on the vine, and that extra time shapes the fruit before it ever reaches the cellar. The result is not a showpiece style but a measured one, made through attention to detail and respect for the site.

Signature

Marc Nanes’s signature wines include asatsuyu Sauvignon Blanc, rindo Flagship Cabernet Blend, yui Rosé, tokika, and ren sparkling. The range shows how one estate can hold different expressions without losing coherence: asatsuyu Sauvignon Blanc for freshness, rindo Flagship Cabernet Blend for structure, yui Rosé for lift, tokika for a quieter register, and ren sparkling for a brighter mode of release. Together, they mark the vocabulary of his work at Kenzo Estate.
