Maxwell Reis is the beverage director at Mírate in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, where he leads a Mexican spirits-focused program that emphasizes sustainability, education, and cocktails built around tequila, mezcal, sake, and other Mexican-made spirits. Coverage in Food & Wine and StarChefs identifies him as a Los Angeles-based mixologist and notes that he helped build Mírate’s beverage identity after being recruited to lead the opening team. His work has also been recognized through StarChefs’ Rising Star Bartender award in 2024 and inclusion in Food & Wine’s 2025 Drinks Visionaries list.
