Pere Massana was born in 1960 in Sant Pau d’Ordal in Catalonia’s Penedès wine region and opened Restaurant Massana in Girona in September 1986 after buying his first premises on Carrer Bonastruc de Porta in 1985. He has led Massana in Girona for more than 30 years, and Michelin describes the restaurant as a family business now involving his wife Ana Roger and their children.
