Rick Kinzbrunner

Rick Kinzbrunner is the proprietor and winemaker at Giaconda in Everton Upper, Victoria, where he established the estate after returning to Australia and buying land in the Beechworth region. Giaconda states that he was originally a mechanical engineer, became interested in wine in the early 1970s, spent the next decade traveling and learning, and then took up a position as assistant winemaker at Brown Brothers in Milawa before founding Giaconda. His wines are centered on the Beechworth cool-climate site, and Giaconda describes him as the estate’s winemaker and proprietor.
