Winemaker at Sierra de Toloño in Villabuena de Álava, Rioja, Spain, since 2012, Sandra Bravo learned this artisan way of winemaking and decided to come home and start her own thing. "I learned this artisan way of winemaking and decided to come home and start my own thing."
The Path
Early in her career, Sandra Bravo worked in wineries at Entre deux Mers in Bordeaux, worked in wineries at Chianti in Tuscany, and worked in wineries at Priorat, building her craft across three storied wine regions. Today, Sandra is owner and winemaker of Sierra de Toloño (since 2012).
The Work Today
Since then, she has led the estate in Villabuena de Álava as owner and winemaker. "I am very focused in the vineyards, but I have become more simple in the cellar."
