Owner and winemaker at Yeringberg, Sandra de Pury occupies a role that is both inherited and earned through distance, training, and return. The route back to the estate ran through kitchens, hotel management studies, an MBA, and management consulting before folding back into the family property, where the work is shaped by both memory and responsibility.

Today

At Yeringberg, the work is methodical and estate-led, built on patience, judgment, and attention to what the land will and will not give. De Pury treats the property as a whole rather than a fixed relic, holding tradition in place while allowing for “always new things.” The standard is simple and demanding: do it “a bit better.” That approach shows in the wine side of the estate, where detail and continuity carry equal weight. de Pury is known for her Cabernet blend and benchmark Marsanne blends, wines that reflect the house style while still being shaped with room for refinement. The result is work that stays tied to the estate’s long view without being static.

Sandra's signature wines include Yeringberg, 2022 Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne, 2024 Yeringberg Rosé, and Yeringberg Chardonnay. Read together, they show a style grounded in the estate: measured, restrained, and attentive to continuity, without treating continuity as something fixed.
