Those titles mark a split responsibility common to trade work: one part keeps the business moving, the other shapes the spirit itself. Since 2012, that role has been continuous at Greenhook Ginsmiths, with St. Agrestis also under his name as founder and principal. The throughline is direct oversight, from direction to production.

Signature

American Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin, Beach Plum Gin, and Phony Negroni make up Steven DeAngelo’s signature range. Each name signals a different lane within the category: American Dry Gin for a cleaner, more direct frame; Old Tom Gin for a style with historical weight; Beach Plum Gin for a more local, seasonal register; and Phony Negroni for a familiar mixed-drink reference carried in a nontraditional form. The set reads as variation under one hand, with the range held together by the same deliberate approach he described: first the irregularities, then the decision.
