Training at UC Davis preceded Theodora R. Lee’s start as an associate at Littler Mendelson in California from 1980. That path set up two disciplines that do not cancel each other out: vineyard stewardship and legal work. One depends on cultivation and patience; the other on precision and argument. Her career has held both at once. Since 2003, Theodora R. Lee has been the founder and owner and owner / vintner of Theopolis Vineyards, while also serving as a shareholder of Littler Mendelson P.C. The arrangement is a clear example of parallel practice: law on one side, viticulture on the other, each requiring its own rigor.

Where They Are Now

Today, Lee holds the role of shareholder at Littler Mendelson P.C. continuing her legal career. The title marks an ongoing place in her professional life, a reminder that her work in law remains an active part of her identity rather than a chapter left behind. Lee is owner and vintner of Theopolis Vineyards in Yorkville Highlands, California. At the property, she works with Petite Sirah and Rosé of Petite Sirah. Those wines give the vineyard its most concrete craft note: a focused identity built around Petite Sirah and a rosé expression of the same grape, each one reflecting an attentive and purposeful hand. The geography matters, too, in the plainest and most evocative sense. Yorkville Highlands locates the work in California wine country, where place itself becomes part of the story the wines tell.
