Thierry Maurer

The family estate behind Domaine de Roliebot has been in the Maurer family since 1916, rooted in Mont-sur-Rolle in the heart of La Côte. Since 2002, Thierry Maurer has worked as owner and operator of Domaine de Roliebot and as vigneron-encaveur. That dual responsibility means the estate stays under one set of hands from vineyard to bottle, with decisions made close to the fruit and carried through to the cellar.

Today, Thierry Maurer remains owner and operator of Domaine de Roliebot and continues as vigneron-encaveur there. The role keeps the work concentrated on the day-to-day craft of the estate: reading the vineyard, making the cellar decisions, and shaping wines that stay tied to the property’s own pace and constraints. The continuity here is practical rather than ceremonial. The estate has been in the Maurer family since 1916, and Thierry Maurer’s work keeps that line active in the present tense, with each vintage measured against the demands of the site and the responsibilities of ownership.

Mont-sur-Rolle, in La Côte, is the setting for that work. The place defines the estate’s frame, and Domaine de Roliebot’s identity is made there, through the steady exchange between vineyard and cellar.
