Véronique Sanders has served as General Manager at Château Haut-Bailly in Léognan since 2000. The role came after years of proximity to the estate itself: some of her earliest memories are of helping her grandfather, Jean Sanders, among the vineyards of Château Haut-Bailly, where the pace of the rows and the discipline of the work left a lasting mark.
Coming Up
Training at Sorbonne University and at the University of Bordeaux, Faculty of Oenology (1997), gave Sanders both academic rigor and technical grounding before she returned to wine in a professional capacity. That path led her to Château Haut-Bailly in Bordeaux, France, where she served as property manager from 1998–2000 before becoming General Manager of Château Haut-Bailly in 2000.
