    i. Biography

Retail, bartending, and brand work form the through-line in Varia Dellalian’s career, with each stage adding a different layer to her read of service. That mix now sits inside Bacardi, where she serves as Commercial Manager Dubai, United Arab Emirates, after earlier work with the company as Portfolio Brand Ambassador, Levant and North Africa. Dellalian’s education runs through American University of Science and Technology (2013), Polyglot College, Beirut, Lebanon, and Karen Jeppe Armenian High School, Aleppo, Syria. That cross-regional schooling fits the cultural range hospitality asks for, especially in markets where language, pace, and guest expectations shift from room to room. Her first roles were in retail: Gift Shop Associate at Jack Gifts Accessories (2002–2004), then Retail Salesperson at BESTSELLER (2004–2007) and Azadea Group (2007–2008). Those years were service work in another register, built on direct interaction and pace. Behind the bar, the work became more immediate. She was Bar Back and bartender at The Venue Bar and Restaurant (2007–2008), then bartender at Le Noir Club (2009–2011). By the time she became Head Bartender at Momo at the Souk Restaurant, Bar & Café in Beirut, Lebanon (2011–2013), the role had clearly moved into full hospitality leadership on the floor. She then worked as mixologist at Central Station Boutique Bar (2013–2014), before shifting into brand-facing work as Bacardi Portfolio Brand Ambassador - Lebanon and Cyprus at FATTAL GROUP (2014–2015). Bacardi became the long run. Dellalian served as Portfolio Brand Ambassador, Levant and North Africa at Bacardi (2015–2021), then Co-Chair Culture Committee at Tales of the Cocktail Foundation (2021–2024), while also working as Customer Marketing Executive, Levant and Turkey at Bacardi (2021–2024). She later became Customer Marketing Manager, Levant, Turkey and North Africa at Bacardi (2024–2025), before moving into her current role as Commercial Manager Dubai of Bacardi (since 2025). Today Commercial Manager Dubai at Bacardi in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is where the practical parts of Dellalian’s career meet: retail discipline, bar-side service, brand stewardship, and commercial coordination. The role sits across relationships and strategy, with hospitality still setting the pace.
