Virginie Basselot is a French chef from Normandy who has led Le Chantecler at Le Negresco in Nice since August 2018. The restaurant describes her as the chef at the helm of its kitchens, and Le Negresco notes that she is a Meilleur Ouvrier de France and the first woman to hold that head-chef role in the hotel’s history. Michelin and Gault&Millau both identify her as the chef at Le Chantecler, where she is associated with French and Mediterranean haute gastronomy.
