Alexandre Lamblot’s Changing Blends
Alexandre Lamblot returned to his family’s Janvry estate in 2009 as its thirteenth generation of winegrowers. The producer dates the family’s viticultural roots to 1653. Lamblot began organic practices in 2013 and says he started the formal certification process in 2018, after converting the estate.
Variation by release
Intuition Nature joins fruit from the Montagne de Reims, Massif de Saint-Thierry and Vallée de l’Ardre. Its blend changes with the year; the producer does not define it by a fixed dominant grape. That makes the individual release the right unit of comparison. Amplitude, for example, has its own site, year and 100% Chardonnay specification, rather than providing a recipe for Intuition Nature.
Working choices
Lamblot describes late pruning, reduced heavy machinery, gentle pressing and no sugar addition at disgorgement among his estate practices. His catalogue also lists Frénésie, Dissonance and Réserve Perpétuelle. These choices and the differing cuvée specifications say more about the work than a single house-style descriptor would.
