Álvaro Garrido is the chef and founder behind Mina in Bilbao, Spain, a restaurant he opened in 2006 in Bilbao La Vieja/Muelle Marzana and later associated with the city’s Ercilla area. Michelin describes Mina as a one-star restaurant with Garrido at the helm, and a 2019 profile notes that he worked in kitchens in France, England, and China before returning to Spain to open the restaurant.
