i. Biography
André Prince Jeffries is the owner and family steward of Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack in Nashville, Tennessee, where she took over in 1980 and later moved the restaurant to its current North Nashville Ewing Drive location in 1988. She is the great-niece of Thornton Prince and is still serving the signature hot chicken that made the restaurant a Nashville landmark. James Beard has also described her as the current owner continuing the family tradition.
