Andrew P. Haley

Andrew P. Haley is an associate professor of history at the University of Southern Mississippi, where his work focuses on United States history, food history, and cultural history. He is the author of *Turning the Tables: Restaurants and the Rise of the American Middle Class, 1880-1920*, a study of how restaurant culture helped shape modern American middle-class dining. The book won the 2012 James Beard Award in Reference and Scholarship and was a finalist for the 2012 International Association of Culinary Professionals Book Award in Culinary History.
