That grounding now carries through to Paul Cluver Family Wines in Elgin, South Africa, where he serves as Cellar Master of Paul Cluver Family Wine Estate. At Paul Cluver Wines Limited, Burger’s Cellar Master role is centred on a clear brief: make wines that express site, preserve texture and finish in balance rather than weight. The work is pointed toward individual wines with terroir expression, with poise running through both cellar decisions and the finished bottle. The result is a style that keeps the vineyard legible, allowing structure and elegance to emerge without excess intervention.

Wagon Trail Chardonnay and Seven Flags Pinot Noir sit among Andries Burger’s signature wines.
