Academic work in agronomy gave Andro Tomi a technical base before the cellar did. The assistant professor role at the Faculty of Agronomy in Zagreb brought method, observation, and process into the center of his practice, and those habits carried into wine: measured, exacting, and shaped by place. Since 1997, he has been founder and winemaker of Bastijana, a position that ties vineyard management, cellar work, and estate direction to the same long view.
